I currently volunteer tutor for Fond du Lac Literacy Services, a non-profit in the Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, community that helps adult learners in the area improve reading, conversing, writing, math, digital, media and other literacy skills. I tutor adult English Language Learners in conversational, listening, and writing skills.
I served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in 2008-'09, helping to run an elementary after-school program for John Muir Elementary School students at the Lussier Community Education Center in Madison, Wisconsin. I tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in reading, math, writing, and science subject areas. During my service time, I also helped the students compile and publish an after-school program newsletter.
